Define the standard
Approve sign families, materials, colours, illumination, artwork rules, fixing principles and acceptable substitutions. Record the standard clearly enough that every site can be assessed against it.

Rollout checklist
Multi-site signage programs succeed when standards, site data, approvals and reporting move through one controlled process.
Rollout checklist
Approve sign families, materials, colours, illumination, artwork rules, fixing principles and acceptable substitutions. Record the standard clearly enough that every site can be assessed against it.
Survey each location with a common template. Record dimensions, photos, substrates, access, power, planning constraints, removal requirements and local contacts. Track unresolved information before production release.
Separate standard approval from site artwork approval. Group production where useful, but keep individual site identification intact through packing, logistics and installation. Manage changes against a visible register.
Track status by site and sign type. Installation records should show completed work, variations, defects and outstanding access. Consistent closeout makes replacement work and future rollouts significantly easier.
Putting it into practice
For a new rollout, begin with the first representative sites rather than the easiest sites. Their constraints will expose where the standard needs flexibility before volume production begins. Insigns can prototype the delivery method, document agreed variations and build the reporting structure that carries the program across later locations with fewer surprises, clearer ownership and reliable closeout evidence for every completed address.
